The Jabalcon Digital Camera Club is a friendly club open to all, no matter whether you are a resident or just visiting this beautiful area of Andalucia, Spain. The light in Andalucia is renowned for being particularly good for photography, and after all photography is about capturing light!

Club meetings are held every 2nd Monday of the month between 8.00pm and 10.00pm at The Posa, Galera, and we don't close in summer.

Shutter Speed Calculator

These will calculate the shutter speed required to give a blurred movement effect to a rotating object, such as a wheel or propeller.
Use the 'Vehicle Wheel Speed' calculator for moving vehicles to give a slight bluring to the wheels, the 'Rotating Object' calculator for all other rotating machinery and aircraft propellers. The calculated values are only approximate and you should bracket your shots using shutter speeds above and below that calculated.
Set the 'Degrees of movement' to the angle that you the blurring effect to cover (10 or 20 degrees is usually enough), and don't forget to pan the shot.
